about em

My psychotherapy practice is rooted years of intentional meandering in creative arts, folklore, transpersonal somatics, grief work, and community justice organizing. After being diagnosed with PTSD in my teens, I set my heart to finding loving and embodied ways of tending to trauma that were accessible, impactful, and could be shared in community. This brought me to training in embodiment practices such as trauma yoga, birthwork, expressive arts, ritual, ceremony, and ancestral practices in digesting activation and building resilience. It is my great joy to share this work with my community. I take this responsibility quite seriously - which is why I believe it should be done with reverent playfulness, curiosity, and a bold commitment to the joyful disruption of systems which are no longer habitable for us.
In my personal life, I am an artist and musician, a parent, a nature-lover, an Earth-based spiritual practitioner, and a neurodivergent (autistic) nerd who loves all things magic, fantasy, folklore, and cycles. When I'm not in the therapy office, I'm probably researching spiritual-somatic-ecological practices, ancestral art-making or music producing, thrifting, snuggling and wrestling my friends, or revelling in the wild world with my partner, kiddo and beloved community.
